St. Patrick's Day in the Ciclo Inicial

Last Friday, first cycle’ students of La Farga celebrated Saint Patricks’ Day, which was actually on Saturday the 17th.

Students of 1st and 2nd grade had the chance to know a little more about the culture of some English-speaking countries such as Ireland, through the celebration of Saint Patrick's Day. They got to see the origin and story of Saint Patrick and the Irish tradition of wearing something green in honor to that day.

The kids enjoyed doing leprechauns masks, which are magical Irish creatures that bring luck to people if you find a three-leaved shamrock. One of each leave of the shamrock represents the father, the son and the spirit saint.

To end with, students got their faces painted with the Irish flag and had a lot of fun singing Irish songs about Saint Patricks’ Day.

It could haven’t been possible without the extra help of the first and second-grade tutors and school staff.
