La Farga works STEM through LEGO Education

LEGO Education enables learners to work as young scientists, designers and engineers.

STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) is a subject in which we work with LEGO Education’s resources. LEGO Education provides excellent opportunities for the youngest learners to develop the understanding of scientific concepts through investigation and participation activities. Students will learn subjects like English, Math, Science, Technology, and Engineering more effectively while improving and developing their 21st-century skills, like problem solving, collaboration and communication.

Each activity has been connected with the general objectives of the Science, Design and Technology curriculum. The lessons follow the 4C LEGO Education’s proposal: Connect, Construct, Contemplate and Continue. These activities lead learners to make initial use of the scientific method through observation, reasoning, prediction and critical thinking.

The main objective of this subject is to stimulate critical thinking and encourage creative problem solving skills across a variety of real-world themes. We want the students to think for themselves, to gather evidence, and be able to identify a problem and solve it. LEGO Education solutions are a tool to cultivate curiosity, imagination, skepticism and tenacity in the students.
