We love Shelters!

In this new project we are working on shelters (refuges).

After explaining a story of a family that survives in the mountains thanks to a shelter that they make out of branches, children are doing their own refuges in the different spaces of the Art Studio Classroom.

· In the Modelling Station they are making refuges with clay and sticks.

· In the Artifacts Station they are making a shelter out of branches big enough to fit 2 playmobil figures.

· In the Graphic Design Station they are writing the news (about the family) for a newspaper.

· In the Construction Station they are building a life-size shelter with tubes and cardboard!!

We are having a great time with the shelters. This is a topic that most of children are passionate about and they are also learning different things about nature, survival, animals and the constructive properties of Art Education.
