Initial cycle students adopt penguins

Ejército de Tierra has a permanent base on Deception Island, one of the most remote places in Antartica. They're established there to make sure nobody breaks international enviromental regulations and help scientists do their research.

Every year they start a penguin adoption campaign to raise environmental awareness. The idea is that in exchange for giving the penguin a name, you commit to take care of the environment.

You get a digital diploma and a photo of your penguin. All you have to do is fill out an online form to take part. Of course, they also expect you to keep your enviromental promise.

Second grade is the perfect grade to teach children how important it is to take care of the environment and also the many different strategies to do so. In science for example, we are currently studying the three R's (Reduce, Reuse and Recycle). And of course, we did adopt a penguin this year named Ice. That way we are extra motivated to help Ice survive while learning how to respect the enviroment.
